I know many people, including my friends, regardless of where they stay in Kumarakom, come to eat in Coconut Lagoon. They serve the best meals and beverages in town, Breakfast alone is elaborate with wide range of selection. Besides the huge buffet, they have stations with people making fresh Juice, coffee, tea, smoothies, omelets, puttu (Kerala Speciality, steamed dish made out of coarsely ground coconut & rice), dosas & parathas. They serve traditional Kerala meals for lunch and this can be grand during festive seasons. Fresh fruit cocktails and juices can be enjoyed anywhere in the resort throughout the day apart from enjoying drinks in their well stocked bar. Dinner too follows in the restaurant where the lighting is very ambient to match the star light on the backwaters. Chef Raju P.K. gave me a tour of the kitchen and different stations. They conduct cooking classes here as well on a daily basis.
